Drink Champagne at 590ft in London (Saturday February 6, 2010)
Vertigo 42, the champagne bar on the 42nd floor of Tower 42. Looks shockily expensive (cheapest champaign is ~£60), but would be quite the experience.
-
Unpackaged (Friday January 22, 2010)
Sells produce without pacakaging. Like an old fashioned "scoop-n-save" it's mostly dried produce.

Gwilym’s disloyalty card (Friday December 18, 2009)
Gwilym Davies – you know, the current World Barista Champion – has come up with a rather splendid card: the disloyalty card.
The idea is simple: If you go and drink coffee at 8 interesting, quality focused cafes around (mostly) East London then he will say thank you by making you a coffee for free. -

An actual heat map of the hottest parts of the tube. Nice little info-graphic based on temperature data released by TFL on one of the hottest day of the year. Unsurprisingly the central line is one of the hottest.

Poor tomato plant (Sunday August 23, 2009)
David Singleton posted a photo:
Cropped 3 tomatos, none of which never ripened. I went away for a week and it didn't get watered, so when I came back it was pretty close to dead. Since then the largest (and slightly scorched) tomato has ripened a bit.

Spinach & Beetroot (Sunday August 23, 2009)
David Singleton posted a photo:
The spinach cropped quite early and was delicious, needed more space to grow properly though.
The beetroot never had enough depth of soil or time to grow properly, I had some of the leaves in a salad though. -

Bistrotheque (Tuesday July 21, 2009)
A restaurant with excellent reviews, just round the corner from my house. I'm not sure why I haven't been , possibly because it's on a pretty industrial and uninviting road.
